Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman have emerged as this award season’s most captivating couple, their five-year relationship blossoming alongside their respective career resurgences.

At 51, Brody stands poised to potentially claim the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in “The Brutalist,” marking a significant comeback after years of being overlooked by the industry. His affection for Chapman, 48, was prominently displayed during his Golden Globes acceptance speech.

“Your generosity of spirit, your own resilience, your immense creativity are a daily reminder of how to be. I would not be standing here before you if it wasn’t for you,” he said.

Chapman’s return to the spotlight carries its own weight of significance, following the devastating scandal surrounding her ex-husband Harvey Weinstein, who is currently incarcerated for multiple rape and sexual assault convictions.

“They have absolutely been there for each other through highs and lows,” a friend of the couple told Page Six.

Their romance began unexpectedly in April 2019 at the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico, during the launch of Helena Christensen’s swimwear collection. Chapman had been encouraged by friends to venture out after isolating herself during a difficult period.

“George’s close friends told her ‘you need to get out of the house, she was in a really dark, awful place, she had isolated herself at home,” a friend of the couple told The Post.

Despite their contrasting backgrounds, their paths merged naturally. Brody, raised in Queens by academic and artistic parents, made history as the youngest Best Actor Oscar winner at 29 for “The Pianist.” Following this triumph, his career took various unexpected turns through unconventional roles.

“It’s taken me [a long time] to find another real pillar of work that I want to leave behind,” he disclosed to Vulture.

Now, Brody competes for Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his portrayal of Laszlo Toth in “The Brutalist,” alongside nominees Ralph Fiennes, Sebastian Stan, Timothée Chalamet, and Colman Domingo.

Chapman’s journey began in London’s affluent Richmond area. Her fashion label Marchesa, launched in 2004, became synonymous with red carpet glamour. Her 2007 marriage to Weinstein positioned her at Hollywood’s epicenter until the devastating revelations of 2017.

“It was like all the air had been punched out of my lungs,” Chapman told Vogue in 2018 of her ex-husband’s abuse allegations coming to light. “There was part of me that was terribly naive – clearly, so naive. I have moments of rage, I have moments of confusion, and I have moments of disbelief! And I have moments when I just cry for my children.”

The scandal severely impacted Marchesa, though some industry figures remained supportive. Designer Diane Von Furstenberg publicly backed Chapman, telling The Hollywood Reporter of the former CFDA board member: “We all support her.”

This awards season has marked Chapman’s elegant return, frequently appearing in her own Marchesa designs. At the BAFTAs, she wore a stunning strapless creation while Brody, who won that evening, called her “an angel” in his speech.

Sources close to the couple describe their relationship as deeply nurturing. “Georgina’s career has had its fair share of troubles too, but they try to champion each other personally, they fill each other with love and try to raise each other up,” a mutual friend revealed.

A former Weinstein Company executive reflected on Chapman’s journey: “Georgina was always the epitome of grace, brilliance, and warmth — even in the most impossible of circumstances. Anyone who knew her back then could see she was focused on her work, her children, and maintaining a level of dignity that frankly, many wouldn’t have been able to manage given the firestorm she was caught in,” they told Page Six.

“To see her moving forward, thriving in her own right, and now finding happiness with Adrien? It’s inspiring. She deserves nothing but the best.”
