Actor Sebastian Harrison endured a harrowing experience when he found himself trapped at his $2.4 million Malibu estate as wildfires consumed the property, forcing him to seek shelter behind boulders when his escape plan was thwarted by vehicle problems.
“I stayed, even though everyone, you know, the police came and they said, ‘Evacuate,’ and everyone had left, I was the only one there,” Harrison, 59, told the Telegraph.
The veteran performer, known for his roles in spaghetti Westerns and international cinema, made a desperate return to his beachfront residence on Tuesday evening as wildfires began their devastating march through Los Angeles.

Before attempting to safeguard his 3-acre property, which he acquired in 2010, Harrison ensured his 89-year-old father, also a former actor, was safely evacuated. Despite his efforts to protect the home by dousing the roof with water and clearing away outdoor furnishings, the inferno proved unstoppable.
“I’m still hiding behind the boulders,” Harrison said in a video posted on social media, showing his home completely swallowed by flames.
His escape plans were complicated when his Mercedes refused to start, leaving him stranded in the path of danger.

“It was hell. It was inferno … I really couldn’t see because of all the orange, breathing smoke and everything … I fell on my rib, and then I just took cover behind the rocks, and there were sheets of embers just going over me,” he told the Telegraph.
Eventually, Harrison managed to locate a functioning vehicle and drove through the fire-ravaged streets, documenting the apocalyptic scenes around him. Emergency responders reached him around 9 p.m., just before the car he was using burst into flames.
Looking back on his narrow escape, Harrison characterized the ordeal as “treacherous.”
