Patricia Heaton took aim at media outlets for their fear-inducing coverage following Donald Trump’s electoral victory over Kamala Harris, expressing her concerns through a passionate video shared on X.

The actress strongly condemned television networks for allowing extremist viewpoints to instill fear in vulnerable viewers. She demanded these media outlets rectify their approach by reassuring their audience that everything would be fine.

Heaton particularly criticized the media’s tendency to label Trump voters as “uneducated,” urging them to stop dismissing people with different perspectives and legitimate concerns.

She addressed the concerning trend of women posting extreme reaction videos online, including footage of individuals threatening sex strikes and head-shaving protests, motivated by fears of dystopian scenarios reminiscent of The Handmaid’s Tale.

In her message, Heaton encouraged those experiencing anxiety to avoid treating politics or group identities as religious beliefs. She emphasized placing faith in Jesus rather than human institutions, noting His unchanging nature.

The actress’s recent advocacy extends beyond political commentary. Earlier in the summer, she demonstrated strong support for the Jewish community amid rising antisemitism. Speaking with Prager U CEO Marissa Streit, she stated, “Christ’s biological family is being murdered. Our savior’s biological family, the Jewish people, are being murdered. We need to stand for them. We are grafted into Israel by the graciousness of God, so we need to stand for them.”
