The 43-year-old actress’s edgy appearance, complete with a textured blonde hairstyle, sparked concern among some social media users who claimed she looked different from her days on “Scrubs.”
Several online commentators expressed worry about her well-being, with one X user posting side-by-side images comparing her current appearance to her 2009-2010 “Scrubs” era. Others speculated about potential health issues, with some suggesting the changes went beyond natural aging.
Earlier this year, during an appearance on the “Funny Thing Is” podcast, Coupe spoke candidly about her personal struggles with food and body image. “I was so broken; I couldn’t get fixed enough for the relationship because I had damaged it with my own s–t,” she said, per the Daily Mail.

The actress revealed that food had been her primary struggle, leading her to participate in a 12-step food program that required measuring all meals for seven years. She admitted to past excessive exercise and occasional bulimic behavior, while expressing appreciation for the program’s beneficial impact on her life.
“I would over-exercise, and there was a sprinkle of bulimia in there,” she shared, adding that she was “grateful” for the tools she learned from the program.
