Republican Juan Ciscomani holds a narrow lead over Democrat Kirsten Engel in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District race, a closely watched contest that could secure the House majority for the GOP. With an estimated 9% of votes remaining, Ciscomani has garnered 49.1% of the tally compared to Engel’s 48.5%.
This tight battle takes place in a district stretching from Tucson eastward to New Mexico, encompassing a portion of the Arizona-Mexico border. Ciscomani had previously edged out Engel in a close race two years ago.

Following Rep. Yadira Caraveo’s concession of her Colorado seat to Republican Gabe Evans, the GOP now needs just one more victory to clinch the 218 seats required for a House majority. The latest vote counts show Republicans leading in five of the nine remaining too-close-to-call races.

While not officially calling the House majority yet, Decision Desk HQ assigns an 80.5% probability to Republicans securing at least 218 seats, compared to a 19.5% chance for Democrats. Current projections indicate a narrow Republican House majority, with a projected 220-215 seat advantage.
