Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have landed a new TLC reality series showcasing their life with their seven children. The show, titled “The Baldwins,” features intimate discussions about their marriage and the aftermath of the tragic ‘Rust’ shooting incident.

Notably, Hilaria Baldwin, who was previously exposed as Hillary Thomas from Massachusetts rather than the Spanish-born woman she claimed to be, appears in the show speaking without her once-characteristic Spanish accent. This marks a significant departure from her previous public appearances, where she notably struggled with English words like “cucumber” and “onions” while maintaining her fabricated Spanish persona.

The reality show addresses the serious legal challenges the couple has faced, particularly regarding Alec Baldwin’s involvement in the fatal shooting on the ‘Rust’ movie set. The incident, which occurred in October 2021 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, and injured director Joel Souza, 48.

The legal journey has been complex. Initially charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in 2023, Baldwin’s case took an unexpected turn when Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed the charges with prejudice last July, following accusations by Baldwin’s defense team that state prosecutors had concealed evidence. While this ruling prevents prosecutors from refiling the case, they retain the right to appeal, and indeed, in September, a Santa Fe prosecutor requested the reinstatement of the involuntary manslaughter charge.

In the show’s trailer, the couple opens up about their personal struggles. “Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” Alec confesses to his wife. Hilaria responds by acknowledging their difficulties, stating, “We’ve had bad moments, but we found our foundation.”

This public appearance stands in stark contrast to Hilaria’s previous viral moments, including the infamous incident in 2020 where she appeared to forget the English word for “cucumber” during a cooking segment, a moment that later contributed to exposing her manufactured Spanish identity.
