Biden Official Mocks Trump During Global Climate Meeting

In conservative circles, a frequent criticism of their political opponents centers on the belief that Democrats and liberals harbor a deep-seated antipathy towards America.

This accusation appears to hold water, as evidenced by the recent actions of Democratic operative John Podesta.

At a UN climate summit in Azerbaijan, Podesta, serving as America’s chief climate diplomat, took the opportunity to disparage both his nation and President-elect Donald Trump on the international stage.

“In January, we’re going to inaugurate a president whose relationship to climate change is captured by the words ‘hoax’ and ‘fossil fuels,'” Podesta told his fellow delegates on Monday.

According to Sky News, he continued: “This is not the end of our fight for a cleaner, safer planet. Facts are still facts. Science is still science. The fight is bigger than one election, one political cycle in one country.”

Not satisfied with his initial comments, Podesta further remarked, “I know that this disappointment is more difficult to tolerate as the dangers we face grow ever more catastrophic, but that is the reality.”

In a display of subservience, he even apologized to international delegates for America’s shifting climate policies between administrations.

While dissent and criticism are fundamental American rights, exercisable on domestic platforms like “The View” or MSNBC, Podesta’s decision to air such grievances before an international audience raises concerns.

Such behavior not only projects an image of American weakness but also shows contempt for the majority of citizens who elected Trump as the 47th president.

This public undermining of American interests on the global stage exemplifies the very behavior conservatives often attribute to the Democratic left – an apparent disdain for their own nation and its democratic processes.
