Tom Homan, Trump’s nominee for border czar, has issued a stern message to sanctuary cities opposing the incoming administration’s deportation initiatives, demanding they cease their resistance.

During an appearance on “The David Webb Show” via Sirius XM, Homan emphasized the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies, stressing that national security transcends political affiliations.

“Republican, Democrat, independent, we all should be looking to protect this country, protect our communities,” Homan said. “Despite the hate, we’re going to do the job. Despite the resistance, we’re going to do the job. Despite the roadblocks, we’re going to do the job. You’re not going to stop us, so either join us or get out of our way.”

The former acting ICE director under Trump’s first term revealed plans to expand their workforce, noting significant interest from retired Border Patrol and ICE agents, former police officers, and recent military veterans eager to participate in the initiative.

Addressing staffing concerns, Homan explained that funding would determine their ability to recruit additional personnel, highlighting how many officers had previously departed due to operational constraints.

He also clarified misconceptions about military involvement, refuting claims about Army participation in city arrests. Instead, he suggested the Department of Defense could assist by handling administrative tasks, allowing law enforcement to focus on their primary duties.

According to Trump’s announcement, Homan’s responsibilities will encompass oversight of Southern Border, Northern Border, Maritime, and Aviation Security operations, pending Senate confirmation.
