Burchett: Congress Can End National Archives’ Funding

During a Saturday appearance on Newsmax’s “America Right Now,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) demanded that lawmakers begin looking at the funding mechanism for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) after the agency failed to hand over unredacted communications and documents as part of House investigations into the Biden family.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) demanded last month that NARA turn over any unredacted records in which President Joe Biden used a pseudonym during his vice presidency. It has been confirmed that NARA is in possession of nearly 5,400 documents where Biden used a fake name, and reports show that his son Hunter Biden was copied on some of these emails.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as vice president, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer wrote in a statement on August 17.
“The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption,” he added.

However, NARA refused to meet the deadline — and Burchett is now arguing that Congress should pull the agency’s funding.

“Congress is the checkbook, and we can stop the funding,” he said during the Newsmax interview.

“I think we need to start looking at people and firing them. Also, the one thing that nobody’s really mentioned is the fact that these are just three that we knew about — three aliases in the 5,400 [emails],” Burchett added.

“I would submit to you that there could be more [emails],” he continued.

Burchett went on to point out the flights that Hunter Biden took with then-Vice President Joe Biden aboard Air Force Two, and other corrupt actions from the Biden family — noting that mainstream media outlets like CNN continue to ignore this evidence.

“And on the plane trips, if you look at where Hunter [Biden] went with his father, they had business interests over there. He was obviously on these bogus boards. Then you saw meetings with ‘the big guy’. Shortly thereafter, money was transferred to them. So it just goes deeper and deeper. CNN keeps saying, ‘Where’s the proof?’ Well, dadgum, where isn’t the proof?”

The Biden family corruption scandal has begun to spread further, according to Newsmax host Tom Basile — who argued before the interview with Burchett that the scandal has become a “black eye” on Barack Obama’s presidency, as Obama allowed all this corruption to happen under his watch.
