Bravo executive, recently shared his insights on the surprising split between reality TV stars Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover. During a recent episode of his SiriusXM show, “Radio Andy,” Cohen delved into the potential reasons behind the breakup of this beloved couple after three years of dating.
According to Cohen, both DeSorbo and Conover are experiencing incredible success in their respective careers, which might have contributed to the strain on their relationship. Cohen highlighted that Conover recently opened a restaurant called By the Way in Charleston, South Carolina, with his co-star Austen Kroll. Additionally, Conover runs a successful pillow business called Sewing Down South, with brick-and-mortar locations in Nashville and Charleston.

On the other hand, DeSorbo has been based in New York City for the past few years, navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship. “And then she is just absolutely murdering it. Killing it,” Cohen remarked about the “Summer House” star, praising her thriving career.
Cohen noted that DeSorbo’s schedule has been particularly hectic as she embarked on a live tour for her podcast, “Giggly Squad,” over the past four months. While the couple had always been committed to making their long-distance relationship work, Cohen suggested that their busy schedules might have taken a toll.
“But I was at the ‘Southern Charm’ premiere party and she wasn’t there — at his place in New York,” he recalled, indicating that DeSorbo had missed some events due to her packed schedule. “There have been a few events that she hasn’t [been to],” he continued. “She is just so busy and I just think the more and more that that starts to happen, you know, you worry that it causes a strain or whatever.”
Despite his speculation, Cohen acknowledged that “we still don’t totally know” the exact reason behind their split. “So more to come on that but I was very sad,” he concluded. “Everyone loved them.”
Last week, DeSorbo announced the breakup on her podcast with Hannah Berner, revealing that they “decided to no longer be together.” “We both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future,” she said.
DeSorbo clarified that their breakup was not a “bad thing” and that “no one did anything” specifically to cause it. “I have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him.”

While Conover has yet to share his perspective, fans have speculated that the couple might have had differing views on settling down. Conover has been vocal about his desire to get married and start a family, while DeSorbo has defended her choice to remain in NYC and focus on her career. “If the roles were reversed and Craig, as a 30-year-old man, said he wanted to focus on his career and wait to get married, everyone would praise him and tell him he has a good head on his shoulders,” DeSorbo told The Post last year. “But when it comes to me saying it, people assume things: ‘Oh, you don’t love your boyfriend.’ This could not be further from the truth.”
DeSorbo and Conover first crossed paths in 2019 while filming an episode of “Summer House.” Although they “had a crush on each other,” they didn’t begin dating until 2021.
