The “Pearl Harbor” actor was depicted in images obtained by Page Six, leaning out from the window of his BMW to engage in a brief exchange with two officers stationed in a police cruiser.

Affleck, 55, appeared highly animated during the discussion, extending his arm through the driver’s side window and gesturing toward the exit at one juncture.

While the precise content of the actor’s statements remains unclear, a source informed Page Six that police presence was necessitated due to private security personnel restricting residents’ access to their homes in the vicinity.

According to the source, Affleck was “talking to the police about that situation,” and he was eventually able to return to his residence.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office added that deputies were present at the movie star’s home, “assisting with a grid search for unauthorized drone activity.”

Earlier this week, a spokesperson for the FBI revealed to us that the government agency visited Affleck’s home as part of an ongoing investigation into “unauthorized drone activity.”

“Members of the FBI’s Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades Fire relative to unauthorized drone activity,” the spokesperson stated. “Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at various residences, for this reason.”
