The Lynnwood City Council has scheduled a special meeting to reevaluate the recent appointment of Jessica Roberts, who was discovered to maintain an OnlyFans account and identifies as a “bisexual transwoman,” according to local news sources.

The revelation about Roberts’ online presence emerged shortly after the council’s decision to appoint her to fill a vacant seat. The controversial discovery came when community members recognized Roberts from her OnlyFans platform, where she had posted explicit content along with personal descriptions.

The situation has prompted swift reactions from current council members. City Councilor Derica Escamilla has begun investigating the appointment process, expressing concerns in an email to MyNorthwest.com, saying “I have calls into the city clerk and executive assistant with similar questions, as well as questions regarding the ‘blind’ appointment process.”

Fellow council member Patrick Decker expressed his own reservations, indicating he had been unaware of Roberts’ online activities. He voiced concerns about whether such behavior aligned with the responsibilities of public service, telling reporters these activities weren’t “in keeping with the gravity and seriousness” of serving as a city council member.

The city had initially celebrated Roberts’ appointment through an official Facebook announcement on Monday, detailing plans for her upcoming oath of office during the March 17, 2025, Work Session Meeting. The post had promised to release a formal announcement with Roberts’ biography and personal statement in the following week.

However, these plans may now be derailed as the council prepares to convene at 7 p.m. Thursday to assess Roberts’ qualifications for the elected position. According to the city’s official agenda, the meeting will focus on evaluating Roberts’ appointment and could potentially result in its rescission, with discussions about future steps in the selection process.

Despite attempts to obtain comment on the developing situation, Lynnwood city officials have not responded to media inquiries.
