The incendiary statement provoked an immediate uproar. Committee Chair Virginia Foxx, visibly enraged, slammed Frost’s rhetoric. “You’ve gone over the cliff,” Foxx said, demanding order. “We are all going to be quiet now.”
She fiercely defended the pro-life stance: “You are not going to come into this room and impugn our integrity. We are pro-life people from conception to natural death… Don’t you dare come up in here and say we want to preserve life so we can get shot”

Republican Rep. Austin Scott moved to strike Frost’s words from the congressional record, but Frost refused to retract, standing firm with “I meant every word,” according to the Latin Times.
