Elon Musk Believes Trump’s Poll Numbers Will Rise Amid Ongoing Legal Battles

Tech billionaire Elon Musk predicts that former President Donald Trump’s popularity will continue to grow as he faces multiple criminal prosecutions which many view as politically motivated. In a recent post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk wrote, “The more unfair the attacks on Trump seem to the public the higher he will rise in the polls.”

Trump who is seeking to reclaim the White House in 2024 is currently battling four criminal cases two brought by the Department of Justice under his rival President Joe Biden and two filed by Democratic prosecutors in Georgia and New York. The former president has denounced the investigations as “witch hunts” while his supporters argue they amount to “political prosecution.”

Musk was responding to a post by Mike Benz, Executive Director for the Foundation for Freedom Online, who questioned the impartiality of the judge overseeing Trump’s New York trial. Benz noted that Judge Juan Merchan has donated to Biden’s campaign and his daughter works in marketing for Democratic causes.

Benz also criticized the prosecution’s reliance on testimony from Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney and convicted felon. Despite the legal challenges, Trump has maintained a lead over Biden in recent polls as the 2024 presidential race heats up.
