During an appearance on Breitbart News Daily, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed confidence that every single one of President Donald Trump’s nominees will be confirmed by the Senate. He emphasized that securing these confirmations is a top priority for the legislative body at this juncture.

“The Senate is making progress on confirmations,” Cruz asserted. “We’re advancing through the confirmation process. I believe that within the next 30 days, the entirety of President Trump’s cabinet will be confirmed.”

While acknowledging that Democrats are engaging in obstructionist tactics and delaying tactics, which he described as “natural” and “part of the system,” Cruz stated that the Senate majority would push back against such efforts. He reiterated his belief that all of President Trump’s cabinet nominees would ultimately be confirmed, mentioning Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s upcoming confirmation hearing for Health and Human Services Secretary.

“It’s fascinating to watch the Democrats’ reaction to Bobby Kennedy. I really like Bobby. I think he is a serious thinker and a change-agent,” Cruz remarked, noting that this characteristic – being a “change-agent at a very serious level” – is a “consistent pattern” among the President’s Cabinet nominees.

Cruz also drew a distinction between Trump’s current Cabinet and his first-term Cabinet, suggesting that the President has learned from past mistakes and is now surrounding himself with individuals who will not undermine his “MAGA agenda.”

“This is a very different Cabinet than in the first term of President Trump,” Cruz asserted. “Look, I was President Trump’s strongest ally in the Senate during his first term, and I will be again. However, the first administration made serious mistakes in terms of appointing people who ended up undermining the President’s agenda. I think this Cabinet is much stronger.”

He described the current Cabinet members as more focused and experienced, adding, “They know to get people who are on board with the agenda.”

Cruz’s comments highlighted the determination of the Republican-controlled Senate to swiftly confirm President Trump’s Cabinet picks, despite anticipated Democratic opposition, as well as the President’s efforts to assemble a team that will actively support and advance his policy priorities.
