Ex-CIA Warns Of Agencies Swaying 2024 Presidential Race

Georgetown University professor and former CIA intelligence analyst Dr. John Gentry is warning the public about the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) movement, claiming its efforts and overall politicization of the entire intelligence community are now “significant” problems.

Gentry is confident that intelligence agencies will attempt to interfere with the 2024 presidential election — similar to their 2020 efforts. “My guess is that the proverbial deep state within the intelligence community will reemerge because presumably a Republican candidate will again be seen as a threat to the internal policies that many intelligence people like,” Gentry stated.

Within just days of the New York Post story detailing contents of the notorious Hunter Biden laptop, 51 ex-intelligence officials signed a letter in their attempts to invalidate the legitimacy of the laptop, claiming it had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

However, the CIA later released the infamous laptop letter in 2023, proving their attempts at discrediting the Hunter Biden laptop was purely political, and that a highly ranked source told Gentry that “in no uncertain terms, it was done explicitly with the intent to help the Biden campaign.”

He also confirms that there have been several signs the past few weeks that former or current intelligence members will be taking an active role in the 2024 elections.

“I long have thought we are likely to again see former intelligence officers be politically active against Trump or whomever the Republican presidential candidate is next year, and I expect leaking to resume,” Gentry said.

The doctor then referred to a recent article written by retired CIA official Marc Polymeropolous, who was the co-lead of the Hunter Biden laptop letter, and Asha Rangappa, former FBI, who was also openly anti-Trump. “I think it is worth closely monitoring these people. Many have compromised their credibility by actions such as the ‘Laptop 51’ letter.”

The major issue, according to Gentry, was the introduction and enforcement of DEI policies in various intelligence agencies, including the FBI and CIA. This shifted their attention from everyday operations, to becoming agents for the “woke” political agenda.

The other systemic issues Gentry cites includes the negative effect DEI policies and politicization has had on employee morale, stating there are a lot of unhappy people in these agencies because it divides the workforce between those who don’t believe in these policies and those that do.

Ultimately, this polarization has had a number of effects on the intelligence community in terms of performance and credibility, and when you put all these factors together, Gentry is confident that we’ll see a reemergence of political manipulation in the 2024 presidential race.
