After garnering positive reviews for her debut hosting gig, comedian Nikki Glaser has been tapped to helm the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony. The production company behind the awards show, Dick Clark Productions, made the announcement on Thursday, confirming that Glaser will return as the emcee for the 83rd edition of the Globes next January.
Glaser, who made history as the first woman to solely host the prestigious event, had playfully referred to this year’s ceremony as “Ozempic’s biggest night.” Expressing her excitement, she stated, “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was undoubtedly the most enjoyable experience of my career. I can’t wait to do it again, and this time, I’m hopeful that the team from ‘The White Lotus’ will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Despite Glaser’s well-received performance, the 2024 Globes broadcast experienced a slight 2% dip in viewership compared to the previous year, attracting 9.3 million viewers according to Nielsen ratings. The top honors were bestowed upon the films “The Brutalist” and “Emilia Pérez,” and the television series “Shōgun” and “Hacks.”
Consistent with this year’s telecast, the 2026 Golden Globes will air on CBS and be available for streaming on Paramount+. Helen Hoehne, the president of the Globes, praised Glaser’s contribution, saying, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
