Frontier Airlines Pilot Arrested Before Departure, Leading To Flight Cancellation

A Frontier Airlines flight scheduled to depart from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Dallas was unexpectedly canceled on Saturday after the pilot, Seymour Walker, 45, was arrested on board. CBS News reported that Walker was apprehended by Houston police on charges of assault involving family violence.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m., causing significant disruption as passengers were in the process of boarding Flight 3195. Texas law enforcement officials waited until all passengers had deplaned before boarding the aircraft and arresting Walker without incident.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the arrest and the subsequent flight cancellation in a statement. “The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled,” the airline stated.

Passengers affected by the cancellation were offered several options, including a full refund, a credit for future travel, or a seat on the next available flight. Frontier Airlines assured customers that their safety and satisfaction are top priorities.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also commented on the situation, stating, “Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues.” The FAA will be conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
