Republican lawmakers are gearing up for a robust immigration reform agenda in anticipation of a potential Trump return to the White House. The National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE) has recognized several GOP legislators for their efforts in reshaping federal immigration laws.
Senators Ted Cruz and Bill Hagerty, along with Representatives Mark Green, Byron Donalds, and Troy Nehls, have been named “congressional champions of interior enforcement” by NICE. The organization’s president, RJ Hauman, commended their work in upholding the integrity of immigration laws and supporting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A key piece of legislation, the Reshape ATD Act, led by Hagerty and Donalds, aims to facilitate large-scale removals of individuals who entered the country without proper documentation during the Biden-Harris administration. Hagerty criticized the current administration for transforming DHS into what he called “a social services agency for individuals without legal status.”
We shouldn't be too surprised Mark Cuban would say something so stupid considering he says Border Czar Harris has done a "good job" at the southern border

The proposed bill would enhance existing DHS enforcement tools to streamline the process of locating, detaining, and removing individuals without proper documentation throughout the country. Hagerty emphasized the need for a Republican-controlled government to restore ICE’s statutory mission and provide necessary resources for removing individuals with criminal records who lack legal status.
Mark Green, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, stressed the importance of expanding ICE’s detention capacity due to the significant increase in individuals without proper documentation released into the U.S. under the current administration. The committee plans to focus on oversight and accountability of what Green termed “open borders, anti-enforcement policies.”

Cruz and Nehls have introduced the Justice for Jocelyn Act, named after a 12-year-old girl allegedly murdered by individuals without legal status in Houston. The bill would require DHS to maximize detention bed usage and implement strict monitoring measures for released individuals without proper documentation.
Hauman emphasized the need for proper funding of ICE in the next Congress to enable large-scale removals. He stated, “For President Donald Trump to carry out large-scale removals, Congress must provide the resources to track, detain, and remove millions. Our champions of interior enforcement will be sure to lead the charge on Capitol Hill.”
