Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign has refused to provide details about her amnesty plan for illegal immigrants, despite growing pressure from voters and media outlets. Harris has promised to offer a path to citizenship for millions of illegal aliens, but her campaign has dodged questions on whether she would use executive action to implement these policies.
During the Democrat National Convention, Harris emphasized that America should provide illegal immigrants with “an earned pathway to citizenship.” However, when Axios pressed her campaign on specifics, her spokesperson deflected, focusing on Harris’ previous work to protect “Dreamers” and support the Biden administration’s immigration policies.
Harris’ 2019 campaign platform outlined a plan to protect millions of illegal immigrants from deportation and grant citizenship to 2.1 million “Dreamers.” But with the ongoing border crisis and rising immigration concerns, many voters are demanding more clarity on how she intends to address the situation.
A recent poll shows that a majority of voters blame Harris for the surge in illegal immigration, a problem she was tasked with handling by President Joe Biden in 2021. Her role as “border czar” has only intensified scrutiny of her immigration policies.
