Senator Lindsey Graham sparked controversy during his “Meet the Press” appearance when he criticized President Trump’s decision to pardon 1,500 January 6 protesters, including grandmothers who carried MAGA flags into the White House.

In response to Graham’s comments advocating for harsher treatment of Trump supporters, recently released January 6 political prisoner Curtis Tate shared his moving story with The Gateway Pundit, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.

Despite enduring a grueling 5.5-year federal prison sentence, constant facility transfers, deplorable living conditions alongside vermin, character assassination by DC officials, and mistreatment by prison staff, Tate maintains his conviction was worthwhile, crediting Trump for placing J6 participants on the right side of history.

Tate’s release prompted an unexpected display of unity, as inmates from diverse backgrounds – including Bloods, Crips, various religious groups, and different ethnic factions – celebrated his departure.

The newly freed prisoner reflected on January 6’s significance, invoking Thomas Jefferson’s words about informed citizens’ responsibility to correct governmental wrongs. He expressed gratitude to fellow J6 participants and supporters who assisted him when the Bureau of Prisons released him without identification, money, or transportation in freezing New Jersey weather.

Since his release, Tate has engaged with Louisville Republicans and plans to mentor incarcerated youth. He shared his personal transformation following a near-fatal incident in January 2023, describing his journey through addiction, imprisonment, and spiritual renewal.

Tate concluded with a message of hope, emphasizing the importance of patriotic unity and faith in ongoing efforts to preserve American values. He encouraged fellow patriots to maintain their resolve while rebuilding their lives after government persecution.
