Jen Psaki Taking Primetime Slot At MSNBC

MSNBC has announced that former White House press secretary Jen Psaki will be taking over the 8 p.m. primetime slot on Mondays.

The far-left news channel confirmed that Psaki, who currently hosts “Inside with Jen Psaki” on Sundays at noon, will be hosting her second show starting on September 25. The official “Inside with Jen Psaki” account on X, formerly known as Twitter, also states that Psaki’s show has “new, original episodes Thursdays exclusively on Peacock” — which is an online streaming service owned by NBCUniversal Television.

NBCUniversal announced the new show in a press release on Thursday, noting that MSNBC host Chris Hayes will continue to anchor the primetime slot Tuesdays through Fridays — while Psaki will be taking over Mondays.

“Beginning Monday, Sept. 25 on MSNBC, former White House Press Secretary and MSNBC host Jen Psaki will expand her role with the network by anchoring Inside with Jen Psaki on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. MSNBC host Chris Hayes will continue to host All In with Chris Hayes Tuesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m. ET.,” the press release stated.

“Psaki will continue to anchor her flagship program on Sundays at 12 p.m. ET and contribute a regular column for the network’s morning newsletter MSNBC Daily,” the press release continued.

Psaki left the White House in May 2022 and joined MSNBC as a political analyst soon after. She was replaced by current White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“As the 2024 presidential race continues to take shape, Psaki — who joined MSNBC in Oct. 2022 — has contributed to MSNBC’s election and special coverage programming, bringing her expertise in government and the campaign trail to the network’s primetime viewers during major breaking news and political events,” the press release read.

The press release also touted Psaki’s “expert on-air analysis and insights” since joining the network, noting that she had “interviewed numerous high-profile bipartisan lawmakers including Gov. Chris Sununu, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Sen. Cory Booker, former Gov. Larry Hogan, New York Mayor Eric Adams, and more.”

Her “insights” into the Biden administration will likely come in handy in the network’s coverage of the 2024 presidential election, as it continues to appear that elderly President Joe Biden will remain the Democrat Party’s nominee — despite facing primary challengers including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson.

Psaki continues to be openly pro-Biden on her show, while disparaging former President Donald Trump and his allies consistently — giving her a lot of support from the MSNBC viewer base.
