Professional lip reader Nicola Hickling has decoded their interaction, suggesting West may have orchestrated the attention-grabbing moment.
“I’ll tell ’em you’re on fire tonight, babe,” West appeared to say to Censori, according to Hickling’s analysis for the Mirror.
The rapper continued with “You’re making a scene now,” before encouraging her to “make a scene.”
Hickling’s analysis revealed West saying, “I’ll say it’ll make so much sense,” with Censori nodding in agreement to his instructions.
West was then seen telling her, “Drop it behind you and then turn…You’re making a scene now… I got you.”
According to Hickling, the exchange concluded with Censori stating, “Alright, let’s go,” before they departed the red carpet.
Censori complemented her daring ensemble with transparent heels, bringing along a large black coat for coverage between photo opportunities. Meanwhile, West opted for an understated all-black outfit, consisting of a basic T-shirt, pants, and dark sunglasses.
Following the event, the 24-time Grammy winner took to social media to showcase his wife’s attire, writing, “Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever My love my best friend My wife.”
Reports from Entertainment Tonight indicated that the couple, who reportedly arrived uninvited with an entourage, were subsequently escorted from the premises. Page Six sources confirmed their removal, suggesting the controversial outfit choice was intended to mirror the cover of West’s “Vultures” album.
The couple, who exchanged vows in 2022, have remained silent about the incident. West, who was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Carnival” with Ty Dolla $ign, ultimately lost the award to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
