A recent incident involving Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY) has raised further concerns about his health condition. During a visit to Elizabethtown on Tuesday, McConnell engaged with business leaders and addressed questions from the media on various topics, including tariffs, foreign policy, and his legacy.
However, the situation took an alarming turn when a reporter inquired about President Trump’s tariffs. It appeared that McConnell momentarily experienced hearing difficulties during this interaction. After the reporter asked, “Have you had any conversations with the president about the impact (tariffs) here in Kentucky or talked to him about it being a bad policy at all?” McConnell responded, “My hearing isn’t what it used to be.”
This OLD 82 year old goat needs to retire. He should have let someone else run in 2024, but he can't give up on getting Trump.

Despite an aide’s repeated attempts to clarify the question, it wasn’t until the reporter raised her voice at close range that McConnell acknowledged the query, stating, “Oh, yeah, I’m not a fan of tariffs.”
This incident left many observers distressed, with some suggesting that McConnell should consider retiring immediately.

It’s worth noting that McConnell has faced multiple health challenges in recent years. Twice in the last few months, he has suffered nasty falls, and in 2023, he experienced two incidents where he froze up during press conferences, in addition to a significant fall at an airport during the same year.
“One policy change that would largely prevent such future public episodes would be term limits. Unfortunately, members of Congress will never willingly give up their power, no matter how dire things get.”
