Travis Kelce recently shared his thoughts on the beloved Christmas film “Love Actually” during his “New Heights” podcast, offering a surprisingly positive review after initially expressing reluctance to watch it.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, who had previously described the movie as “torture,” revealed a change of heart during the Christmas Eve episode, acknowledging that he found the 2003 romantic comedy both engaging and entertaining, despite its complex narrative structure.

Nevertheless, the 35-year-old NFL player expressed some reservations about the film’s portrayal of relationships. “What’s crazy is that all of these stories tie together in one community, and it’s supposed to make it look like this is what happens,” he said. “Like, this is what’s going on around you.”
While praising the technical aspects of the film, awarding high marks for both acting and direction with scores of 9 and 8 out of 10 respectively, Kelce maintained that the plot seemed unrealistic. He struggled to identify with the characters and questioned its classification as a Christmas movie.

The review was prompted by his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce’s request, who openly expressed her fondness for the film. In contrast, Travis’s brother Jason Kelce remained unconvinced, voicing his displeasure at being made to watch it. “I’m giving an honest review, not swayed by an ulterior motive,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, said. “That’s what you get from Jason Kelce.”
Interestingly, Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift has previously expressed her appreciation for the film. In a 2014 Teen Vogue interview, Swift remarked, “If you look around, love actually is all around.”
The connection between Swift and the film extended further when she received praise from “Love Actually” star Hugh Grant after he attended one of her Eras Tour concerts in London. While Kelce, who has been dating Swift since last summer, may not be fully convinced about the movie, he did acknowledge his appreciation for Grant’s recent work.
