Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem celebrated recent ICE operations in New York City, highlighting the successful apprehension of several high-profile criminal suspects, including a key member of the Tren de Aragua gang.
During an appearance on Sean Hannity’s program, Noem shared details about her involvement in the operations, where she accompanied ICE agents wearing protective gear. The Secretary emphasized that these raids marked just the beginning of their enforcement efforts targeting individuals deemed most dangerous to public safety.

“Well, Sean, we’ve just gotten started,” Noem replied. “We are picking up the worst of the worst in this country that are making our streets so dangerous. And so, yes, we did encounter and incarcerate a Tren de Aragua member, that one of the ring leaders, he had warrants out for his arrest in Colorado. In fact, he was one of those that we saw on some of the video from that apartment building that they had taken over and had perpetuated so much violence there. So this was a good morning for our agents and the cooperation with the NYPD and ATF and DEA.”

The operation, which involved collaboration between multiple law enforcement agencies including NYPD, ATF, and DEA, resulted in several arrests. Noem emphasized the positive impact on community safety, particularly noting that residents who previously felt threatened while conducting daily activities like walking children to school or running businesses could now feel more secure knowing these individuals had been removed from their neighborhoods.
