Italian restaurant Last Saturday, former President Barack Obama visited an Italian restaurant in Washington, D.C., ahead of President Trump’s inauguration, and he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the diners. A video obtained by the Daily Mail captured the moment when Obama walked through Osteria Mozza, and patrons burst into cheers and applause. “We miss you,” one fan shouted as the 63-year-old former president acknowledged the crowd by raising his arm.

Page Six reported that Obama dined without his wife, Michelle Obama, who was notably absent from the inauguration ceremony the following day. According to the report, Michelle has “never been a phony” and “doesn’t have to unify around” Trump. Her absence from the inauguration and former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral on January 9 fueled unfounded rumors about potential issues in their 32-year marriage, with baseless speculation even linking Barack to Jennifer Aniston.

During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in October 2024, Aniston, 55, addressed the gossip, insisting there was no “truth” to the “made-up story” and that she had only met Barack once.

Despite the rumors, Barack recently posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to Michelle on her birthday, expressing his love and admiration for her. “You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it,” he wrote alongside a snapshot of the couple holding hands. “I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”

The Obamas have been married since 1992 and are the parents of daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.
