Pete Davidson made a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” giving viewers a glimpse of his tattoo removal progress. The comedian, known for his extensive body art, sported a short-sleeved shirt that revealed his forearms, showcasing the near-completion of his tattoo removal process.

While some designs remained visible and others appeared faded, the overall transformation was striking compared to his previously heavily inked appearance. Davidson’s new look also included a buzzcut hairstyle, adding to the surprise for fans.

The 30-year-old “King of Staten Island” star participated in a sketch alongside host John Mulaney and former cast members. Davidson and Andrew Dismukes portrayed characters who purchased unusual items from a Duane Reade store within the New York Port Authority bus terminal.

This appearance marks Davidson’s gradual return to the public eye. He was recently spotted in Los Angeles with his friend MGK. Photos from their outing further highlighted the significant reduction in Davidson’s visible tattoos.

Davidson had previously discussed his decision to remove his tattoos, citing the time-consuming process of covering them up for acting roles. In a 2021 interview on “Late Night” with Seth Meyers, he explained that he often spent three hours in makeup to conceal his tattoos for film projects.

The comedian acknowledged the painful nature of tattoo removal, describing it as worse than getting inked. He detailed the process, which involves wearing protective goggles while a doctor uses lasers to remove the tattoos.

Throughout his career, Davidson was known for impulsively getting tattoos, including those dedicated to past romantic partners such as Cazzie David, Ariana Grande, and Kim Kardashian. His collection also featured unique designs, including portraits of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Hillary Clinton.
