A delivery driver allegedly stabbed a pregnant woman 14 times at a Kissimmee motel after receiving what she apparently considered an inadequate $2 tip during a pizza delivery earlier that evening.

The incident occurred at the Riviera Motel on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, where Brianna Alvelo, 22, now faces multiple charges including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, aggravated assault, and kidnapping, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was celebrating a birthday at the motel with her boyfriend and five-year-old daughter when they ordered a $33 pizza from Marco’s Pizza. When Alvelo arrived with the delivery around 10 p.m., the customer attempted to pay with a $50 bill. Unable to provide change, Alvelo accepted smaller bills for payment, along with a $2 gratuity.

Later that evening, the situation took a violent turn when two masked individuals dressed in black forcefully entered the motel room after the victim answered a knock at the door. According to the affidavit, a male accomplice wielding a silver revolver forced the boyfriend into the bathroom while the other assailant, believed to be Alvelo, produced a pocketknife.

The affidavit details how the female attacker searched through the victim’s purse and damaged her daughter’s Nintendo Switch before the assault began. As the victim attempted to protect her child, she was struck in her lower back. When she tried to reach for her phone, the attacker destroyed it and proceeded to repeatedly stab her.

The brutal attack only ceased when the male accomplice announced it was time to leave. The victim sustained 14 stab wounds across her chest, arms, legs, and abdomen. During her subsequent medical treatment, she learned she was pregnant. Doctors expect her to make a complete recovery.

Law enforcement apprehended Alvelo on Monday following the issuance of a warrant. She remains in custody at the Osceola County Jail with bail set at $55,000, while authorities continue their search for her unidentified male accomplice.
