The Princess of Wales, joined by Prince William and their children, made a heartwarming appearance at Christmas Day church services, marking a significant moment nearly a year after her cancer diagnosis.
The family attended the annual gathering at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk, England, where Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis accompanied their parents. The occasion was made even more special with the presence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Middleton, radiating warmth, graciously interacted with well-wishers outside the service, accepting flowers from admirers. Her elegant ensemble featured a striking green coat complemented by a matching pillbox hat and a blue-green tartan scarf, paired with black trousers and boots.
This public appearance represents a triumphant milestone following an incredibly challenging year for the 42-year-old royal. The journey began shortly after last year’s Christmas service when the Palace revealed Middleton would undergo abdominal surgery, requiring several weeks of recovery.
During her subsequent absence from public duties, speculation and unfounded theories circulated until the Princess revealed her cancer diagnosis. In her candid video message, she shared, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. Tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

The visibly affected Princess acknowledged the shocking nature of her diagnosis. After nine months of treatment, she announced its completion with relief. In a statement accompanying a new video featuring her family, she expressed, “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Describing her experience as “complex, scary and unpredictable,” Middleton emphasized her current priority of maintaining her cancer-free status. Prior to the Christmas service, she had made her last public appearance at her fourth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey.
