Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s recent attempt to mend fences with conservatives faced a significant setback during his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, particularly during a heated discussion about COVID-19 censorship.
The conversation, which initially progressed smoothly, took a contentious turn when addressing pandemic-related content moderation. Zuckerberg attempted to defend the Biden administration’s vaccination campaign, despite acknowledging disagreements with their methods.

“I think…they (the Biden regime) were doing something,” Zuckerberg stated. “Their goal to get everyone vaccinated was actually a good goal…”
Rogan quickly challenged this assertion, responding, “Yeah, it was a good goal if it worked…if it really did prevent people from getting COVID, from infecting others. But it didn’t, so it wasn’t a good deal.”
Zuckerberg maintained his position, defending the administration’s intentions: “Still, on balance, I still think it’s good for more people to get the vaccine. I’m not sure in that case how much of it was like a personal political gain that they were going for. I think that they had a kind of goal that they thought was in the interests of the country.”
This response prompted Rogan to launch into a passionate critique of the administration’s approach. “Well, there’s a bunch of problems with that,” Rogan began. “There’s the emergency use authorization that they needed in order to get this pushed through. And you can’t have that without valid therapeutics being available. And so they suppressed valid therapeutics.”
He continued his criticism, “So they’re suppressing real information that would lead to people being healthy and successful in defeating this disease. And they did that so that they could have this one solution.”

Rogan drew parallels to historical events, stating, “And this was Fauci’s game plan. I mean, this is the movie Dallas Buyers Club. That’s Fauci in that movie. That was with the AIDS crisis. This is the exact same game plan that was played out with the COVID vaccine.”
He concluded with a strong accusation about profit motives: “They pushed one solution, this only one, suppressed all therapeutics through propaganda, through suppressing monoclonal antibodies, like all of it. And that was done, in my opinion, for profit. And they did that because it was extremely profitable. The amount of money that was made was extraordinary during that time.”
The exchange suggests that despite Zuckerberg’s efforts to rebuild bridges with conservatives, his stance on COVID-19 censorship reveals lingering alignment with Democratic positions.
