Secretary of State Marco Rubio reinforced America’s strong commitment to Israel during a phone conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening.

During their discussion, Rubio emphasized the Trump administration’s dedication to maintaining robust support for Israel as a key priority, according to State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

Bruce noted that Rubio praised Netanyahu for Israel’s military achievements against Hamas and Hezbollah forces, while also pledging continued efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages in Gaza.

The conversation took place as Israel and Hamas implemented a ceasefire in their ongoing 15-month conflict, which includes provisions for exchanging hostages and prisoners.

Meanwhile, Israel continued its military campaign dubbed “Iron Wall” in the West Bank. Israeli forces reported neutralizing more than 10 militant targets, while Palestinian health officials indicated the operation resulted in 10 fatalities and 35 injuries.

On the same day, Rubio engaged in diplomatic discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focusing on regional concerns including Iran. Their conversation covered multiple topics, including situations in Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza, with particular attention to threats from Iran and its allied groups, as reported by AFP.

The Trump administration has demonstrated consistent support for Israel through various significant policy decisions, including relocating the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, formally recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and establishing the Abraham Accords, actions that have contributed to regional stability in the Middle East.
