Secret drone sightings might be U.S. government tests

The mysterious drone sightings across America have sparked speculation about government involvement, with former CIA operations officer Laura Ballman suggesting these incidents could be part of classified testing operations.

During a Saturday television appearance, Ballman proposed that based on White House national security communications adviser John Kirby’s statements about the objects’ legality, combined with recent op-eds discussing detection systems, these occurrences might be deliberate exercises testing urban surveillance or evasion capabilities.

“In terms of why the federal government would not be more forthcoming, I’ve actually been troubled by that. If I were in a position to advise on this, I would say it’s time to become more transparent.”

Intelligence expert Fred Fleitz expressed similar thoughts on Newsmax’s “The Count”, suggesting military or CIA involvement rather than foreign actors. Reports of drone activities have emerged from multiple states, including New Jersey, New York, and California.

Federal officials have attempted to downplay concerns, with one stating during a Saturday briefing that despite receiving thousands of tips, particularly in New Jersey, no evidence supports widespread drone operations. Defense Department representatives maintain no connection to foreign entities or malicious intent has been found.

Former President Donald Trump addressed the situation on Truth Social, writing: “Mystery Drone sightings all over the country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”

Retired Army Col. Joe Buccino raised credibility concerns about official explanations, citing the Pentagon’s previous misrepresentations regarding the Defense Secretary’s status and the Chinese spy balloon incident. He emphasized the likelihood that authorities possess more information than they’re sharing with the public.
