Senate to vote on Trump nominees this week

This week, several significant Senate confirmation hearings are scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s hearing is set for Wednesday at 10 AM, while Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, will face his hearing on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Additionally, Tulsi Gabbard’s hearing is also slated for Thursday, commencing at 10 AM.

The Senate will convene on Monday evening at 5:30 PM to vote on the confirmation of Scott Bessent for the position of Treasury Secretary. It appears that the U.S. Senate is deliberately slowing down the process of confirming several nominees.

Sean Duffy, Trump’s nominee for Transportation Secretary, will undergo a full Senate vote this week after receiving unanimous approval from the Transportation committee with a 28-0 vote.

However, Pam Bondi has not yet cleared the Judiciary Committee, a prerequisite for a floor vote in the Senate. The committee vote for her nomination is scheduled for January 29th, after which she will be queued for a floor vote, likely taking place during the first week of February, provided she passes through the Senate Committee.

“Wednesday and Thursday ought to be lit,” the blog post states, encouraging readers to contact their senators and urge them to support Trump and his nominees, or face the possibility of a primary challenge. The post emphasizes that “it’s crunch time!”
