Police arrested Trinity J Shockley, who identifies as a transgender male and goes by Jamie or Dex, just two days before an alleged planned mass shooting at Mooresville High School in Indiana.
The intervention came after the FBI’s Indianapolis office received intelligence about Shockley’s intentions and promptly contacted local law enforcement at the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department to evaluate the threat. According to reports, Shockley had allegedly planned to execute the attack using an AR-15 rifle and had made preparations by ordering body armor.
Information provided to federal authorities revealed Shockley’s strong fixation with the perpetrator of the 2018 Parkland school shooting that claimed 17 lives. Reports indicate Shockley aspired to be acknowledged as the Parkland shooter’s most devoted admirer.
Trinity Shockley, 18, was arrested on Tuesday in Mooresville, Indiana, and charged with conspiracy to commit murder and threatening to commit terrorism.

During a Wednesday search of Shockley’s residence, investigators discovered what they described as a tribute to mass shooters, complete with their photographs mounted on walls and commemorative buttons bearing their images.
The search also yielded several notebooks, with one containing entries where Shockley had reportedly written about being “Dex… a transgender male [who has] a lot of homicidal thoughts.”
Following the investigation, authorities filed serious charges against Shockley on Thursday. The charges included a high-level felony for conspiracy to commit murder, along with two lesser felony counts related to making terroristic threats, as documented in court records.
