Recent social media claims about Taylor Swift leaving the Super Bowl early have been proven false through fact-checking efforts. The viral video purportedly showing Swift’s departure was actually captured several months earlier at a different sporting event.
Through a reverse image search, it was determined that the footage dates back to October 2023, when Swift attended a game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. The original post from that day stated, “And here is Taylor Swift leaving MetLife tonight.”

The misleading narrative gained traction when one social media user posted, “BREAKING: Taylor Swift has left the Super Bowl early after watching a pitiful performance by the chiefs and refs.”
In reality, Swift was present at the Super Bowl supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as they faced the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles emerged victorious, preventing the Chiefs from achieving what would have been a historic third consecutive Super Bowl victory.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been ongoing for more than a year, as reported by Page Six. The misattributed video and subsequent false claims highlight the importance of verifying information before sharing on social media platforms.
