Three people lost their lives in a terrorist attack involving gunfire directed at vehicles, including a bus, near Kdumim in the northern West Bank on Monday, according to Israel’s emergency services.

The victims included two women in their sixties and a man in his forties, as confirmed by the Magen David Adom emergency response organization.

“Paramedics have confirmed the deaths of three victims, including two women and a man,” Magen David Adom stated, while military officials indicated their forces were “pursuing the terrorists” who conducted the attack in the vicinity of Al-Funduq village.

As reported by Reuters, Israeli Army Radio indicated that military forces had established a security perimeter around all neighboring villages in their effort to locate the suspects, who they believe have sought refuge in a nearby Palestinian community.

This incident adds to the numerous attacks Palestinians have launched against Israeli citizens in recent years, including shootings, stabbings, and vehicular assaults.

The frequency of violent incidents in the West Bank has increased significantly since Hamas’s October 7, 2023 terrorist attack from Gaza, which sparked the current conflict as Israel continues its efforts to secure the release of hostages.
