President-elect Donald Trump made his first public appearance on Monday morning to begin his Inauguration Day activities with a traditional prayer service at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m., Trump departed from Blair House, the official guest residence for presidents, traveling to the church via motorcade. The incoming president was accompanied by his wife, Melania, as they made their way to the worship service located in Lafayette Square.

Onlookers observed Trump’s upbeat demeanor as he arrived at the church, where he was seen raising his fist and displaying a broad smile.
Following the religious service, the Trumps are scheduled to participate in another time-honored tradition – a tea reception at the White House with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
The day’s schedule will continue with both couples traveling together in a joint motorcade to the Capitol, where Trump will take the oath of office at noon, officially becoming the 47th President of the United States.
