Claims circulating on social media about President Trump’s alleged failure to greet French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House have been proven false by multiple sources.
During Macron’s visit to the White House, where discussions centered on various topics including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, social media platforms buzzed with misleading information. One viral post claimed, “French President Macron arrived at the White House and President Trump didn’t greet him…Macron is in trouble and he knows it.”

However, video evidence shared by the Trump administration’s official Rapid Response X account clearly demonstrates otherwise. The account posted footage with the caption: “President Donald J. Trump greets French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House.”
Further verification came from BBC Verify reporter Shayan Sardarizadeh, who explained the sequence of events. “The claim that President Trump refused to welcome President Macron to the White House today is false. The clip being shared shows Macron arriving at the White House earlier today to join a call with G7 leaders. He was officially welcomed by Trump after the G7 meeting,” Sardarizadeh tweeted.
The Washington Post reported that the meeting between the two leaders included substantive discussions about key international issues, particularly focusing on the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
