In a potential shake-up of White House media dynamics, President-elect Donald Trump is contemplating a reorganization of press briefing arrangements that could significantly impact traditional media outlets.
The revelation came during a recent episode of *Triggered with Donald Trump Jr.*, where the former president’s son discussed the possibility with host Michael Knowles.

When Knowles asked about Karoline Leavitt examining the press briefing room seating chart and potentially reorganizing it, Trump Jr. shared details of a recent conversation with his father aboard a flight returning from the SpaceX launch with Elon Musk.
“That’s a great idea, Don,” the elder Trump reportedly said regarding the possibility of including podcast personalities like Joe Rogan and Megyn Kelly in White House briefings.
The current briefing room accommodates 49 credentialed press members, with seating arrangements determined by the White House Correspondents’ Association, though credential approval remains under White House control. This system previously faced tension during Trump’s first term when CNN’s Jim Acosta temporarily lost access before regaining it following legal action.

While podcasting has experienced substantial growth since Trump’s departure from office, the White House Correspondents’ Association may resist incorporating new media representatives. Neither Rogan nor Kelly has indicated interest in participating in press briefings.
During the same podcast episode, featuring Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow, Trump Jr. also suggested Marlow could potentially lead MSNBC if Elon Musk acquires the network.
