On his first day in office, President Donald Trump took swift action by signing multiple executive orders supporting Israel, among numerous other directives.

These executive orders aligned with recommendations outlined in the book “The Agenda: What Trump Should Do in His First 100 Days,” which had suggested over 200 actions during his initial 100 days.

The Israel-focused executive orders included several significant measures. Trump reversed President Biden’s sanctions on the International Criminal Court, which is currently pursuing cases against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant. He implemented stricter visa regulations, denying entry to individuals supporting foreign terrorist organizations and those demonstrating hostility toward American values and institutions.

Additionally, Trump initiated a comprehensive review of foreign aid distributions, particularly focusing on preventing funds from reaching organizations that oppose U.S. interests, such as the UNRWA. He also eliminated sanctions that Biden’s administration had imposed on individuals who supported Israeli settlement activities in Judea and Samaria or held differing views regarding Palestinian peace negotiations and aid.

Following the inauguration ceremony, Trump demonstrated his commitment to the Israeli hostage crisis by inviting former hostages, including Noa Argamani, and families of those still captive in Gaza to join him on stage at a rally.

Argamani’s freedom came through a courageous Israeli rescue operation last June, which successfully liberated three other hostages from Gaza’s interior. The mission, however, resulted in the loss of Israeli police officer Arnon Zamora.

Throughout the 2024 campaign, Trump and the Republican Party maintained strong focus on the plight of Israeli hostages, particularly highlighting those who hold American citizenship.
