Liz Hirsh Naftali, a dedicated hostage advocate and author, made an impassioned plea on Newsmax’s “Saturday Report” regarding the ongoing crisis of Hamas-held hostages. Speaking with host Rita Cosby, Naftali emphasized the critical need for global action after 448 days of captivity for more than 100 individuals.

Naftali, who recently authored “Saving Abigail”, shared her personal connection to the crisis through the story of her grandniece. The book chronicles the horrific events surrounding Abigail’s capture by Hamas terrorists, who killed her parents during the October 7, 2023, attacks.

During the interview, when asked about her message to the international community, Naftali delivered a straightforward response: “Show up.”

She elaborated, “So I think my message to the world is, Where are you? You must show up for these hostages. You must show up for this humanitarian crisis.”

Expressing frustration at the lack of global response, Naftali noted, “And we have seen quiet. We have not seen a loud outburst and people from across the world and leaders.”

The author emphasized the prolonged nature of the crisis, pointing out that countless families in Israel and worldwide remain separated from their loved ones. She explained that her book aims to illuminate the stories of those taken captive, stressing the urgent need to end the conflict and secure the hostages’ release.

Naftali acknowledged the Biden administration’s continuous efforts while highlighting the importance of bipartisan cooperation, including coordination with the incoming Trump administration. She emphasized America’s crucial role in resolving this crisis.

Concluding her appearance, she stressed the importance of unity across political and religious lines, calling for collective pressure on nations capable of influencing Hamas to release the hostages.
